Allison Parker is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist that went to Virginia Tech for a B.S. in Psychology and attended Cal Poly for her M.S. in Psychology. Her post graduate experience working for Lumina Alliance in San Luis Obispo, allowed for her to witness specific challenges regarding the intersectionality between trauma and BIPOC survivors. That clinical work has included experience in sexual assault and intimate partner violence/domestic violence survivors with a focus in diagnoses centered in PTSD, Anxiety and Depression. Allison’s therapeutic orientation uses a blend of Person-Centered Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, Gestalt as well as Narrative Therapy. She adapts to the client in the room and their presenting needs to create an authentic and collaborative therapeutic journey. She is passionate about helping individuals from different backgrounds and hopes to connect with students and especially those of color to create a safe space for healing. She has credentialing in EMDR with weekend one and two training.
