Dr. Sarah Joy Park identifies as a pansexual, cis-gendered female, Euro-American, with a learning disability. Dr. Park has been working with college students since 2011, Cal Poly is the third university she has worked at. She specializes in healing trauma and addressing LGBTQ+ issues including writing letters for trans/gender expansive individuals who are seeking gender affirming procedures. Sarah is a Gestalt therapist which translates to an emphasis on the client therapist relationship, working with looking at a persons’ process, along with a deep consideration of a client’s context including identities, family of origin, and much more. Sarah believes in the human capacity for change, growth, and healing. In her spare time Dr. Park enjoys hiking, drawing, cooking, traveling, and playing with her two cats and a dog.
