Hello and welcome to Counseling & Psychological Services’ (CAPS) self-guided Emotional Wellbeing Workshop Seeking Serenity. Join Dr. Sarah Colwell as she reviews principles related to building skills in (1) distress tolerance, (2) emotion regulation, and (3) mindfulness. Seeking Serenity is informed by Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and is designed for students who experience overwhelming emotions that feel difficult to manage. By the end of the workshop, you will have strategies for better managing overwhelming emotions.

If there are any questions as you work through this workshop do not hesitate to email us at counseling@calpoly.edu (reminder email is not confidential) or call us at 805-756-2511. You can learn more about our Emotional Wellbeing Workshops here.
