CAL POLY INTERNATIONAL CENTER

Cal Poly International Center provides assistance with the process of exchange program, or traveling to another country to present or attend conferences. Through the center, faculty members may also pursue various educational activities involving teaching, doing research, or serving as resident director on an international program. CHILDREN’S CENTER

Cal Poly Children’s Center enriches the development of young children, provides students, faculty, and staff parents a safe and stimulating environment for their children and improves family life through parent education. More information on the center is available at http://www.asi.calpoly.edu/childrens_center

CENTER FOR LEADERSHIP AND SERVICE

The Center for Leadership and Service is a campus-wide resource for leadership and service. Students who develop leadership skills on campus and in their communities are more likely to succeed in college and in their future careers. Additionally, by integrating leadership skills across the college environment, in and out of the classroom, students make more meaningful and authentic connections. Therefore, we support integrated competency based leadership education, helping students achieve personal, academic, and career success. CROSS CULTURAL CENTERS

The Cross Cultural Centers contribute to the University’s commitment to diversity for a more inclusive and welcoming campus. The Gender Equity, MultiCultural, and Pride Centers present services and programs to support students under the shared values of family, diversity, learning, growth, and advocacy. DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER

The Disability Resource Center (DRC) welcomes Cal Poly students who are interested in receiving services and accommodations for their disabilities. Each student who contacts the DRC is assigned to work with an Access Specialist who is knowledgeable in the student's area of impairment. The assigned Access Specialist will determine, based upon the documentation submitted, whether the student's impairment meets California's statutory definition of a disability. Under state law, individuals are eligible to receive reasonable accommodations on the basis of disability if they have a physical or mental impairment that limits a major life activity (E.G., Low vision, mobility impairment, learning disability, etc.). LEANING PINE ARBORETUM

Learning Pine Arboretum is the Central Coast’s premier horticulture display garden where visitors are welcome. Because plants change with the seasons, individuals are encouraged to visit often to enjoy the many and varied highlights and vistas. The Leaning Pine Arboretum is a living laboratory of plants for all to enjoy. The arboretum is open year 'round except on academic holidays. LIFEMATTERS BY EMPATHIA

LifeMatters is the Employee Assistance Program of Cal Poly that provides various resources and services such as counseling, legal consultation, work/life resources, referrals for child care providers, and elder care. Some services and resources are provided over the phone for employees and dependents. More information on LifeMatters is available at

ROBERT E. KENNEDY LIBRARY

The mission of Robert E. Kennedy Library is to promote open and informed inquiry, foster collaboration and innovation, support the unique needs of every student and scholar at Cal Poly, and contribute to the cultural life of San Luis Obispo. TESTING SERVICES

Testing Services is to provide fair, courteous, professional testing services in a controlled, proctored environment, promoting high-quality operations and ethical practices as outlined in the Code of Fair Testing Practices in Education and the National College Testing Association’s Professional Standards and Guidelines for Post-Secondary Test Centers.  More information on Testing Services is available at

UNIVERSITY UNION

The University Union (UU) is the gathering place for the Cal Poly community. By unifying distinct services, programs and physical spaces, the UU cultivates enduring loyalty to Cal Poly. The UU complements the academic experience through an extensive variety of cultural, educational, and social programs enabling students to balance course work and free time as cooperative factors in education. UNIVERSITY POLICE DEPARTMENT

The University Police Department (UPD) promotes a safe and secure learning environment by working cooperatively with the campus community to enforce the laws, preserve the peace, maintain order and provide exceptional professional services to our guests and our community.
