COVID-19 Vaccine and Boosters
There are many options available to students to receive their COVID-19 vaccine. COVID-19 vaccine appointments are free and don't require information about the recipient's immigration status. Please read below and find the option that works best for you.
COVID-19 vaccines including boosters are safe, effective and free. The CDC recommends everyone stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines for their age group.
The new updated bivalent COVID-19 boosters are now available. They protect against both the original virus that causes COVID-19 and the more recent Omicron variants BA.4 and BA.5.
-
The CDC recommends that adults receive the new updated bivalent booster if it has been at least 2 months since their last COVID-19 vaccine (final primary series, or their original COVID-19 booster)
If you recently had COVID-19, you may consider delaying your next vaccine (primary series or booster) for 90 days after your symptoms started, or if you did not have symptoms, the date of your positive test.
People who are moderately or severely immunocompromised have different recommendations for COVID-19 vaccines.
