Responding to Injustice
The CH&W Solidarity statement is a foundation for our responses and our commitment from a public health perspective to taking meaningful, culturally responsive action and to demonstrate our care. As mental health professionals at Counseling Services, it's written into our codes of ethics to pursue justice, to value the dignity and worth of people, and to embody diversity and equity in our work. As events and injustices happen around us, whether in San Luis Obispo or around the world, we'll respond to them here as an acknowledgement of our awareness, as a commitment to supporting those impacted, and as a reminder that there is more work to do to make the world a more just and equitable place.
